Dismantling and check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the carburetor from the engine.
2. Examine the carburetor on existence of damages or wear tracks.
3. Disconnect a returnable spring of a butterfly valve.
4. Examine the pump accelerator lever on existence of wear tracks. Remove a fixing spring of the lever of the pump accelerator, a lock ring and a clip, and disconnect the lever together with a spring.
5. Remove a clip and disconnect a rod of an air zaslonka.
6. Turn off fixing screws and uncover the carburetor. If the cover does not act in film, knock on it with a rubber kiyanka. Do not try to wring out a carburetor cover by means of a screw-driver as you can damage adjoining surfaces.
7. Examine the poplavkovy chamber on existence of corrosion and traces of formation of a calcic raid.
8. Remove a spring of the final valve of the pump accelerator, a lock ring and a ball. Overturn the carburetor and shake out these elements on a palm.
9. Turn off a copper cap and remove грузик and a spring of the inlet valve of the pump accelerator. Overturn the carburetor and shake out these elements on a palm.
10. Remove the pump accelerator piston together with consolidations from a carburetor cover. Check the pump piston on existence of wear tracks or damages.
11. Beat out a pin of a float and remove a float, the needle valve and laying of the poplavkovy chamber.

Prevention

On some models the saddle of the needle valve does not act in film.

12. By means of a ruler check, whether flanges of a cover of the carburetor, the case of the carburetor and the case of throttles are deformed.
13. Check a tip of the needle valve on existence of wear tracks or jags.
14. Check a float on existence of damages and gasoline hit in it; hit in a float of fuel can be checked if to shake a float. Or, lower a float in water and look, whether there are from it air vials. Replace a float if it failed.
15. Check an arm of the lever of a float on deformation existence, and also check openings of installation of an axis of a float on existence of wear tracks or damages.
16. Replace a float axis if it is worn-out.
17. Unscrew the valve of interruption of supply of fuel (see subsection 5.1.5) and clear it by means of a cleaner for cleaning of carburetors.
18. If you have a new consolidation and laying, turn off two screws and remove a window of the poplavkovy chamber. Do not remove a window if you have no new consolidation.
19. Unscrew the screw of adjustment of a mix. Examine a screw tip on existence of damages or jags.

Prevention

For removal of the screw of adjustment the special tool is necessary.

20. Note diameters of all fuel and air jets and the provision of their installation for the correct installation of these elements at carburetor assembly. At installation jets are easy for mixing.
21. If it is necessary, remove all fuel and air jets of the primary and secondary chamber of the carburetor.

Prevention

Use a short screw-driver not to damage jets.

22. Turn off two screws and remove diffuzor. Remove an air jet of primary and secondary chambers and emulsion tubes from diffuzor.
23. Unscrew the main fuel jet of the primary chamber and remove it from below the poplavkovy chamber.
24. Remove a cap of the poplavkovy chamber and unscrew the main fuel jet of the secondary chamber from a nest on a wall of the poplavkovy chamber.
25. Check calibration of jets, having compared their diameters to the values specified in the section of technical characteristics. It is possible that at the last partition jets were incorrectly established (or jets of incorrect diameters) are established.
26. Check, that openings of all jets were not worn-out, littered and did not get out of a round shape. Check, that the channels connecting the poplavkovy chamber to wells of emulsion tubes, were pure.
27. Turn off and remove the valve of the concentrating device from the poplavkovy chamber and check its work.
28. Check work of a plunzher of the valve of the concentrating device established in a cover of the carburetor.
29. Disconnect a rod of a butterfly valve of the secondary chamber, having removed a fixing clip. Turn off fixing screws and remove a diaphragm from the carburetor case.
30. Press on a rod of a diaphragm of a butterfly valve of the secondary chamber, close the vacuum channel a finger and release a rod. Replace a diaphragm if depression does not remain at least within 30 seconds
31. Turn off fixing bolts (one bottom and two top) and remove the carburetor case from the case of throttles. Remember the provision of installation of the isolating block. By means of a ruler check deformation existence on adjoining surfaces.
32. Check a diaphragm of opening of a butterfly valve (see subsection 5.1.5), and also a butterfly valve damper (see subsection 5.1.5).
33. Check all vacuum hoses on existence of cracks and wear tracks.
34. Check the mechanism of an air zaslonka on existence of wear tracks and ease of a course; process jamming elements of the mechanism the corresponding aerosol. If elements of the mechanism continue to get stuck, replace them.
35. Clean jets, a cover of the carburetor and the case of throttles, the poplavkovy chamber and internal channels. Carefully examine and clear all air openings and channels in a carburetor cover. Check internal channels of the carburetor, the gulf clearing liquid of the carburetor in inlet openings, and having convinced that it follows from exhaust outlets. Wash out all channels of the carburetor clearing liquid of the carburetor is will help to clear them of dirt and a deposit. For cleaning of internal channels of the carburetor it is possible to use the compressed air but only when the carburetor is completely disassembled.

Prevention

Put on goggles at work with the compressed air, and also when using clearing liquid of the carburetor (if the channel of the carburetor is littered, cleaning solution can scatter to you in a face).

Assembly

At assembly of the carburetor it is necessary to replace all laying. Also, replace the needle valve and the pump accelerator piston. Examine and (if it is necessary) replace a float pin, the screw of adjustment of a mix and the main fuel jets. Replace the worn-out elements of connecting mechanisms, screws, springs and other worn-out elements.

Check, that all jets were reliably twirled in the nests (but do not twist them too strongly). Poorly twirled jet can lead to education too rich (or even poor) a fuel mix. Clean off from adjoining surfaces and flanges of a cover of the carburetor and the case of throttles traces of old laying and establish a cover into place, having put new laying. Do not use hermetic on flanges or adjoining surfaces of elements of the carburetor, and also at carburetor installation on the engine. If hermetic gets to the canals passing through the carburetor, the carburetor can fail.

Check, that fuel and air channels of halves of the carburetor were correctly combined.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Collect the case of the carburetor and the case of throttles, having established between them new laying. Fix knots by means of fixing bolts.
2. Establish a diaphragm of a butterfly valve of the secondary chamber and fix it by means of fixing screws. Establish fixing a clip on a diaphragm rod.
3. Twirl the valve of the concentrating device in the poplavkovy chamber.
4. Twirl the main fuel jets in the nests (do not mix jets) and establish a cap of a drain opening with a new sealing washer.
5. Establish emulsion tubes and air jets in diffuzor, and establish them on the places (do not mix diffuzor).
6. Establish a jet of system of idling of the primary chamber, a cap and an air jet in the nests (do not mix elements).
7. Establish the screw of adjustment of quantity of a mix of idling and a spring. Accurately twirl the screw against the stop (using the special tool if it is necessary), then turn off it on three complete revolutions is will provide initial adjustment for engine start.

Prevention

Carving in a carburetor opening very thin, it is necessary therefore to be very accurate not to twirl the screw with a distortion. If you damage a carving, it will be necessary to replace the case of throttles.

8. Establish a window of the poplavkovy chamber (if it acted in film) with new consolidation and laying.
9. Establish the locking valve with a new sealing washer.
10. Establish a six-sided bolt banjo with new sealing washers and slightly it twirl.
11. Establish new laying of the poplavkovy chamber on the carburetor case. Note: As there are many updatings of Keihin carburetors, it is important to compare old and new laying carefully. Small difference between laying can lead to that any of fuel or air channels will be closed that will lead to deterioration of operation of the engine.
12. Replace a pin of the needle valve; establish a float and fix it by means of a pin.
13. Adjust height of installation of a float (see subsection 5.1.4).
14. Establish грузик and a spring of the final valve of the pump accelerator and fix them by means of a cap.
15. Establish a ball of the inlet valve of the pump accelerator, a lock ring and a spring.
16. Establish the pump accelerator piston with consolidations in a carburetor cover; replace consolidations if it is necessary.
17. Establish a carburetor cover on the case of the carburetor and fix it by means of fixing screws. Twist screws gradually and in turn not to deform a surface of the case or a carburetor cover.
18. Connect a rod of an air zaslonka and fix it by means of a clip.
19. Establish the lever of the pump accelerator and fix it by means of a clip. Connect a returnable spring of the pump accelerator and a returnable spring of a butterfly valve.
20. Check smoothness and a postupatelnost of movement of an air zaslonka and the connecting mechanism. Check, that the connecting mechanism went easily and was not worn-out.
21. Adjust opening of an air zaslonka at operation of the engine in a mode of fast idling, at start and engine warming up (see subsection 5.1.4).
22. Establish the carburetor on the engine.
23. Always check adjustment of frequency of rotation of a cranked shaft at operation of the engine in a mode of idling and quantity of a fuel mix of idling – it is desirable with WITH sensor use – after carrying out any works on the carburetor. Operations of adjustment are described in subsection 5.1.4. If the carburetor completely understood, check all adjustments.
