5.3.6. Sensor of a measuring instrument of level of fuel

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove the fuel pump and a measuring instrument of level of fuel.
3. Connect an ohmmeter to contacts and measure resistance. Measure resistance of the sensor when the lever of a measuring instrument is lowered completely down (a tank it is empty) – 105 Ohm and when the lever is completely lifted (a tank is full) – 3–6 Ohm. When moving lever resistance should change evenly.
4. If necessary replace the sensor.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove the fuel pump and a measuring instrument of level of fuel.
3. Disconnect sensor contacts.
4. Unscrew screws and disconnect the sensor block from an arm of the fuel pump.
5. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
