5.3.7. Fuel tank

Removal and installation

1. Pit pressure in fuel system.
2. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
3. Merge fuel from a tank through a drain opening or by means of a siphon.
4. Disconnect wires of the fuel pump and the sensor of a measuring instrument of level of fuel.
5. Lift and fix a back part of the car. Remove the section of an exhaust pipe located behind the catalytic converter.
6. Remove the valve of adjustment of pressure and the sensor of pressure of a fuel tank.
7. Disconnect hoses of giving and fuel return from metal tubes. Disconnect a tube of a jellied mouth and a ventilating hose of a fuel tank.
8. Establish a jack under a fuel tank.

9. Unscrew bolts (shooters) and remove both fixing plates of a tank.
10. Remove a fuel tank.
11. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

Cleaning and repair

All works connected with cleaning and repair of a fuel tank should be carried out by the expert in specially equipped workshop.
