GENERAL INFORMATION

Arrangement of the air valve of system of idling (model with the 4-cylinder engine)

Arrangement of the air valve of system of idling (model with the 6-cylinder engine)

The air valve supervises supply of air in the engine idling, regulating, thus, speed of idling.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Connect a tachometer. Start the engine and lift number of turns to 3000. Wait while to join the fan of cooling of a radiator and measure speed of operation of the engine idling (all electric equipment of the car should be switched off). If speed of idling too low, disconnect the socket of connection of the air valve. Speed of operation of the engine should start to fluctuate after a detachment of the socket of connection of the valve. If is not present, possibly, the valve is faulty.
2. Measure resistance between valve plugs. It should make 7,7–9,3 Ohm (models with the four-cylinder engine), 10,7–12,3 Ohm (models with the six-cylinder engine of 1993-1997 of release) or 8,7–10,5 Ohm (models with the six-cylinder engine of 1998 of release). Replace the valve if it is necessary.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the socket of connection of the valve, turn off fixing screws and remove the valve.
2. Installation is carried out upside-down removals. Replace a sealing ring of the valve.
