6.2.5. Sensor of a stream of air

GENERAL INFORMATION

The sensor of a stream of air (model with the 6-cylinder engine till 1997 of release)

The sensor of a stream of air (shooter) is located in the airintaking channel.

The sensor of a stream of air (model with the 4-cylinder engine of 1998 of release)

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove and clear the sensor. Establish it into place.
2. Check tension giving on the sensor.
All models with the four-cylinder engine and models with the six-cylinder engine of 1998 of release
3. Check tension between MAF and GND plugs. On models where the socket of connection has three plugs, at the included ignition and the idle engine tension should make 1,0–1,5 Volts. Idling tension should make 1,5–5,0 Volts.
4. On models with the chetyrekhshtyrkovy socket of connection at the switched-off engine tension should be close to zero. Idling it should make 0,6–0,7 Volts (0,6–1,1 Volts on models of 1998 of release).
5. Lift speed of operation of the engine and check, that tension gradually increased approximately to 2 Volts.
Models with the six-cylinder engine of 1993-1997 of release
6. Disconnect an airintaking branch pipe from the sensor. Connect the voltmeter to MAF and GND plugs of the socket of connection of the sensor. Include ignition. When the zaslonka of the sensor is closed, tension should make 4,0 Volts. When opening zaslonka tension should change as follows:
а) the zaslonka is open on 1/4 – 2,4 Volts
б) the zaslonka is open on 1/2 – 1,6 Volts
в) the zaslonka is open on 3/4 – 0,8 Volts
г) the zaslonka is completely open – 0,4 Volts

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the minus plug of the accumulator.
2. Disconnect the socket of connection of the sensor, turn off fixing screws or bolts (shooters) and remove the sensor.
3. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
