6.2.9. Sensor of provision of a camshaft

MODELS OF 1993-1997 OF RELEASE

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check, that between the plug B + the bigger socket of connection of the distributor of ignition and the minus plug of the accumulator there was a storage tension (see fig. Sockets of connection of sensors of situation cranked / camshaft).
2. Remove the distributor of ignition and connect into place bigger of two sockets of connection.
3. Connect the voltmeter established on measurement of an alternating voltage to 5 Volts, to CID and GRD plugs. Rotating a distributor shaft, check, that for one complete revolution of the shooter of the voltmeter deviated once. Replace the sensor if it is faulty.

Replacement

On these models the sensor of provision of a camshaft is not subject to replacement separately from the ignition distributor.

MODELS OF 1998 OF RELEASE

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Check, that resistance between plugs of the socket of connection of the sensor (see fig. Sockets of connection of sensors of situation cranked / a camshaft) made about 950-1250 Ohm on models with the four-cylinder engine and about 550 Ohm on models with the six-cylinder engine. Replace the sensor if it is necessary.

Replacement

MODELS WITH THE 4-CYLINDER ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the socket of connection of the sensor, turn off a fixing bolt and remove the sensor.
2. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.

MODELS WITH THE 6-CYLINDER ENGINE

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a gear belt and a camshaft pulley.
2. Disconnect the socket of connection of the sensor, turn off a fixing bolt and remove the sensor.
3. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
