The Mazda-626 car is equipped with the ryadny 4-cylinder diesel engine with the water cooling established cross-section. The block of cylinders pig-iron, a head of cylinders from aluminum.

Valves open to the camshafts located from above. The gap of valves is regulated by means of adjusting washers and should be checked and if necessary be regulated within service, at emergence of knocks in the valve the mechanism or after engine repair. On some models the gear belt of a camshaft puts in action also fuel pump of a high pressure.
