In the present section operations on major maintenance of the engine, including details of a head of the block of cylinders and the block of cylinders are considered. In head are included as the recommendations concerning as the organization and preparation of works on major maintenance of the engine, purchase of spare parts, and the detailed description of procedures of dismantle and installation of details of the engine, and also methods of check of a technical condition of details.
In the subsequent sections it is meant that repair work is carried out after dismantle of the power unit from the car. Operations on repair without dismantle of the power unit from the car, and also on dismantle and installation of all hinged units of the engine, necessary for performance of major maintenance, are described in subsection 3.1 and subsection 3.5.3
The specifications provided above are necessary only for check of a technical condition of details in procedures of repair described below.
