3.5.10. Partition and check of a head of cylinders



Special tools and details which at you can and not to be are necessary for carrying out a partition and check of a head of cylinders. Therefore if you the fan, will buy much more economically a new head, than to waste time on a partition and repair of the old.


1. Remove a head of cylinders, camshafts and pushers of valves.
2. Before removing valves prepare the separate numbered bags to combine in them valves and details corresponding to them.
3. Compress a spring of the first valve and remove clamps flat-nose pliers. Remove a plate of a spring, a spring and a spring saddle.
4. Get the valve from a head and take an epiploon of a rod of the valve from the directing plug. If the valve does not pass through directing plug, smooth out edges of the end of a rod of the valve an emery paper.
5. Do similar procedures with other valves.
6. After you disassembled a head, it is necessary for cleaning and checking.


1. Clean off all traces of old laying from surfaces of a head and wipe it solvent.
2. Clean the deposits formed in internal channels and openings of a head. If deposits of a rust blocked water channels of a head, address to the expert.
3. By means of a suitable tap and the compressed air clean carvings in openings of bolts of a head.
4. Brush carvings of adjusting pins of inlet and final collectors.
5. Wash out a head in solvent and dry up it.
6. Wash out in solvent valves and their elements. Dry up all details.

1. Examine a head on existence of cracks, traces of leakage of cooling liquid and other damages. At detection of cracks, the head is necessary for processing on the machine if too strong, a head it is necessary to replace damages.
2. By means of a ruler and measuring щупа check deformation of being joined surfaces of a head. If deformation exceeds admissible limits a head it is necessary to process in a specialized workshop.
3. Examine saddles of valves if they are damaged, address to the expert.
4. Measure a gap between a rod of the valve and the directing plug by means of the measuring device. Instrument readings are necessary for dividing into two and you receive gap size. If the gap exceeds the admissible limits, it is necessary to replace directing plug of the valve.
5. Examine facets of valves on existence of wear, deformation, the cracks, the burned sites and other damages. Check rods of valves on existence of the wiped sites and cracks. Check, whether rods are bent. At detection of any damages valves are necessary for processing in a specialized workshop.
6. Measure width of an edge of the valve. If the received size it is necessary to replace less admissible limits, the valve.

7. Examine springs of valves on existence of wear and damages. Measure length of springs. If length of any spring less than the limit specified in technical characteristics, replace it.
8. Check, that springs were straight lines. If necessary replace the deformed springs.
