3.5.20. Check of camshafts and pushers

Camshafts

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To measure palpation of camshafts, address to the expert.
2. Examine necks of bearings of shaft on existence of scratches and wear tracks. If shaft are worn-out, replace them together with a head of cylinders. Measure diameters of necks of bearings.
3. Examine cams of shaft on wear existence. By means of a micrometer measure height of cams. If the size of wear of a cam exceeds admissible limits, replace a camshaft.
4. Measure lubricant gaps of bearings of camshafts by means of a plastic measuring instrument. If the size of a gap exceeds admissible limits, replace a camshaft and carry out repeated check. If the result remained the same, replace a head of cylinders.
5. Determine width of the crushed strip of plastic by the special table.

Pushers

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Examine surfaces of pushers on existence of wear, scratches and overheat traces. If one or several pushers are damaged, it is necessary to replace all pushers.
2. Measure external diameters of pushers and internal diameters of openings corresponding to them in a head. Take away diameter of a pusher from diameter of an opening, and you receive size of a lubricant gap. Calculate gaps of all pushers and compare them to technical requirements. If gaps of pushers exceed admissible limits, replace pushers or a head.
