9.6. Brake disk

Survey

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a brake support.
2. Examine a disk surface on existence of scratches or damages. If depth of scratches exceeds 0,3 mm, the surface of a disk is necessary for restoring.
3. Check disk palpation by means of the tsiferblatny sensor.
4. If a disk as it should be, process a disk surface an emery paper.
5. Check thickness of a disk and distinction in thickness of a disk between various sites. Replace a brake disk if it is necessary.
Prevention

Minimum admissible thickness of a brake disk is usually specified on the disk.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before removal of a brake disk of a forward wheel turn off fixing bolts (are specified by shooters).
2. Remove a fixing arm of a support.
3. If fixing bolts of a brake disk are not turned off, use a special screw-driver.
4. If the brake disk does not act in film, twirl two bolts in specially provided openings and tighten them to remove a brake disk.

Installation

Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
