Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before work with the accumulator prepare necessary tools and materials.

Prevention

The electrolit of the accumulator contains sulfuric acid and allocates hydrogen which at a mix with air becomes explosive. Observe precautionary measures at work with the accumulator.

2. Examine the accumulator on existence of leak or damages. Check reliability of fastening of the accumulator. Check a condition of plugs of the accumulator and reliability of contact of wires.
3. Check a battery charging. On some accumulators for check of a charging the special sensor is provided.

Maintenance

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Corrosion on accumulator plugs usually looks as a white powder.
2. If on plugs of the accumulator there is a corrosion, disconnect wires from the accumulator.
3. Clear accumulator plugs before formation of a pure brilliant surface.
4. Remove all traces of corrosion from contacts of wires.
5. Clear the accumulator shelf if it is necessary. Grease accumulator plugs with technical vaseline and connect wires. Reliably fix the accumulator on the storage shelf.

Battery charging

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For a battery charging it is recommended to use the charger with a small current of a charging (1–2 Amperes). For a fast charging it is possible to use the charger with a big current of a charging, however, it should not exceed 1/10 capacities of the accumulator.
2. For a full battery charging the charger with a small current of a charging 12–16 hours usually suffice.
