2.22. Check and adjustment of speed of idling (model till 1997 of century)

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Connect a tachometer. Connect TEN and GND plugs of the diagnostic socket of connection. On the Ford Probe models with the four-cylinder engine disconnect the socket of connection of the air valve of system of idling.
2. Start the engine and warm up it to normal working temperature. Check, that all electric equipment of the car was switched off.
3. Release a pedal of an accelerator and measure speed of operation of the engine idling.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

	1. On all models, except the Ford Probe models with the four-cylinder engine, connect TEN and GND plugs of the diagnostic socket of connection (1).
	2. For adjustment of speed of idling tighten up the adjusting screw. The screw of adjustment of speed of idling is located on the butterfly valve case.
