2.12. Check, adjustment of a tension and replacement of a driving belt

GENERAL INFORMATION

Degree of wear of driving belts

1. Admissible wear

2. Cross-section cracks on belt edges

4. There are no adjacent sites of edges of a belt in length more than 1 cm

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Examine a driving belt on all length from both parties on existence of cracks or wear tracks.
	2. Check a tension of a driving belt, having pressed on a belt in the middle between two pulleys, and measure a belt (1) deviation by means of a ruler (4). Check, that the ruler was perpendicular (2) lath (3).

Tension adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For adjustment of a tension of a driving belt of the pump of system of hydrostrengthening of a steering and the conditioner compressor on models with the four-cylinder engine turn off a coupling bolt of the pump and a lock bolt, then tighten up an adjusting bolt, weakening or strengthening a belt tension.
2. On models with the four-cylinder engine for adjustment of a tension of a driving belt of the water pump and the generator weaken fixing bolts of the generator and tighten up an adjusting nut.
	3. On models with the six-cylinder engine for adjustment of a tension of a driving belt of the pump of system of hydrostrengthening of a steering and the compressor of the conditioner weaken the top nut of a natyazhitel and tighten up an adjusting bolt (it is specified by an arrow).
	4. On models with the six-cylinder engine for adjustment of a tension of a driving belt of the water pump and the generator weaken the bottom nut (1) natyazhitel and tighten up an adjusting bolt (2).

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Weaken a tension of a driving belt and remove it from pulleys.
	2. If one belt demands replacement, it is recommended to replace other belts also. The chart of installation of belts is usually provided on the plate located in an impellent compartment or on a cowl.
3. Installation of a new belt is carried out upside-down removals.
